Running Diary:
2/6/08 - 4 miles - (dead for two days after)
2/16/08 - 4.2 miles ( couldn’t walk after)
2/18/08 - 4 miles (tired but not bad)
2/23/08 - 5 miles ( could have pushed another mile or so more out)
2/25/08 - 4 miles in 43 min ( treadmill - kept up a good pace)
2/27/08 - 3 miles level 2 effort for 2 posts, level 3 for 4 posts (tired, hurting, really cold out)
3/1/08 - 4.6 miles (Running in the snow is not fun)
3/3/08 - 6 miles, 60 min (exhuasted, but feel good)
3/7/08 - 2 miles (had plans, and had to cut it short)
3/8/08 - 4 mile RACE for Colon Cancer - 35:07, 8:46 Pace/Mile, Placed 931, 32 degree weather, W 14 MPH
3/11/08 - 2 miles (had a busy night)
3/12/08 - 90% run to 20% jog for 45 minutes (Out of breath and in pain)
3/13/08 - 20 min swim (swimming is hard too!)
3/15/08 - 10 MILES (74th street to spring St and back) - Legs hurting, but breathing was fine!
3/26/08 - 2, 1 mile sprints to see how fast we can run (7:45 & 8:20)
3/27/08 - 2 mile run on treadmill
3/29/08 - 11 miles in CP 1 big loop and 1 small loop. Tried my first power gel (knees are hurting)
4/2/08 - 8 laps up and down cat hill in Central park. 
4/5/08 - 15 Miles, 2 hours and 36 min ( no pain, pain, no pain, to really tired on mile 11)
4/9/08 - Hills - 90% effort up the hill, 40% down ( knees hurting again)
4/12/08 - 10 miles, 1 hour and 36 min. Learned that the lemon Lime is my favorite power Gel, Took my first ice bath, Longest run by myself, ankle and knees are in pain.
4/18 - Light hour run around College Point (3 miles)
4/19 - 18 miles (-1 mile for walking). Over the GWB, down the palisades park. HILLS.. tons of HILLS. 9 miles holding strong, 12 miles ouch, 15 miles pace slowed down, 16 miles legs cramping and had to take walk breaks, 17 mile OUCH!!!! legs were in so much pain. 18th mile barely walking. Heat exhaustion, Need to drink more liquids though out the week.
4/23 - 30 min drills on the CP hills.
4/26 - 18 miles (non stopping) CP 82nd street to West side hwy to the end (chambers street) turn around to Canal Street, over the brooklyn bridge and back over the Manhattan bridge back up the west side hwy. Last two miles were the hardest. (special thanks to Amie, Jenn, Jessica, Natasha & Terrance for pushing us all to do it)
4/30 - 2 mile run on tread mill
5/3 - Brooklyn Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - overall time 1:56:22, mile page: 8:52, after mile 10, I started cramping in my stomach, had a horrible run but my time is still okay.
5/5 - 2 miles on treadmill
5/6 - 5 miles on cross island
5/7 - 5 miles around Central Park then squats and other activities (hurting after)
5/10 - 17 miles (3 loops around CP big loop) after 15 miles I was getting tired, but by 16 miles at 3 hours, it was just too boring to run anymore. Knees hurt, but not that bad.
5/13 - 4 mile run around CP (knees hurting)
5/14 - 3 mile fast pace runs (7:04, 6:41, 7:35) - Running fast takes so much out of me. On 3/26 my fastest time was 7:45, so that's more than a minute improvement
5/17 - 20 MILES!!!! 3 hours and 27 minutes. The last and longest run until race day. Pain..no pain.. pain.. no pain.. back to pain. At mile 13 I kicked it up a notch and had Lia (thank you) as a running partner for the rest of the run, which I needed. After 2 hours your mind goes "what are you thinking..."
5/28 - 20 Min light run
6/1/2008 - 26 miles (race day) - Woke up at 4 to get ready. Pee'd 4 times before the race (still went once more on mile 5). Ran at a good 10 min mile pace and never hit the "wall" where I said I couldn't do it. Ready for my next challenge :)
